Sibelius 2025.10 update focuses on simplifying setup, improving the user interface, and adding practical engraving features.

Easier activation and trial experience

Sibelius now has a new welcome screen with direct access to example scores. A 30-day Sibelius Ultimate trial can be activated with one click with no restart required. After the trial, the software automatically switches to Sibelius First, with a simplified licensing process that avoids interruptions.

Interface and accessibility improvements

This version introduces a lighter color scheme and updated icons to match Avid’s wider design refresh. The Inspector has also been slimmed down, giving more space for working on scores and improving overall clarity.

New engraving options

There’s now a new engraving rule for courtesy time signatures, which is especially useful for large conductor scores with frequent meter changes. Trills and lines have also been refined based on user feedback for cleaner, more accurate notation. These improvements are also supported in the mobile version.

Support for the latest Apple operating systems

Sibelius 2025.10 is fully compatible with macOS Tahoe, iOS 26 and iPadOS 26, including support for Stage Manager and new window management features introduced in iPadOS 26.
