Media Composer 2025.12 Now Available

Avid Media Composer 2025.12 is now available introducing new features and enhancements that provide greater efficiency, ease of use, and resolves a number of issues found by customers and internal quality assurance teams.

Edit Transcription Text 

Make corrections directly in the Transcript Tool while keeping word-level timing and synchronization intact. 

Peer-to-Peer Transcript Sharing 

Users can now share a central transcript database for a project across a network, allow transcripts to function the same as shared media and project workflows.

Waveform Map Alongside Video 

The Waveform Map can now be displayed alongside video in the Source Monitor, allowing you to view audio waveforms and video simultaneously. 

Simplified DNx Codec Selection 

DNxHR and DNxHD codecs are now grouped under a uniform naming system. 

Full Resolution Multi-Camera Output 

Multicam now operates at full resolution, removing the previous quarter resolution limitation. 

Avid Titler+ Template Workflow 

Now introducing an easier workflow to create, edit, and share templates. 

Marker Improvements 

Source-Side Marker Import: Markers can now be imported on the source side, allowing users to add markers from an external file to source clips. 

SVG Marker Overlays

Avid Media Composer Extensions now supports importing markers with visual annotations as overlays.
