Apple's Audio Labs Powered by Genelec

Groundbreaking technology needs groundbreaking tools, that’s why Apple chose Genelec for their world-class audio labs in Cupertino, CA.

We are very aware of huge amount of people with hearing problems in music, broadcast and post industries. That’s why we salute every effort to reduce the possibilty of hearing loss and help thos who already suffer from it.

Check out the video where ABC News’ Rebecca Jarvis visits Apple’s secret audio labs where the company’s engineers have spent years working on technology that can turn a set of AirPods into an FDA-cleared hearing aid, suing a huge array of Genelec 8331s and 8320s.

If you upgrade your iPhone to iOS 18.1 and your AirPods Pro 2 to firmware 7B19, you can now take an FDA-approved hearing test at home(!). We engourage you to take the test regularly to keep an eye on your hearing and ALWAYS use protection in high-dB environments!

Actually we’re aiding ZHDK and Unversity of Zürich with a similar project right now, also using a huge Genelec array. Stay tuned for more info on that.
