Barefoot
Thomas Barefoot started his company in the early 2000's with a clear mission: Design a speaker that could be used for multiple applications from mixing to mastering while delivering the highest sonic performance, all within the budget of any professional studio. Still hand-made in San Francisco, Barefoots are hard to get but worth the effort. You seriously need to hear Barefoots before buying loudspeakers. And now you can: Just contact us for a demo in your studio or in our showroom.

"The MicroMain 27's sound amazing! I feel like I'm listening to the music, not the speakers, and I can hear everything from top to bottom with incredible detail. There are no surprises when the mixes leave my studio, and they translate extremely well to the real world." - Butch Vig (Nirvana, U2, Garbage)
"I save 2h per day when mixing with Barefoots" - Walter Fölmli, Phonoplay
"Not only do the mm 27's allow mixes to translate beautifully everywhere, they just SOUND fantastic. I never knew 'flat' sounded SO good!" - Dave Weckl (Chick Corea, Steve Vai, Dave Weckl Band)

MicroMain27
The MicroMain27 is a groundbreaking monitor that is in a class all its own which is becoming a premier choice for top mixing and mastering engineers. These speakers cause more dropped jaws and amazed glances than any speaker we have ever demoed. At first listening, it's extremely hard to believe that all that sound is coming from a loudspeaker this size - without an external sub. The huge sweet spot and incredibly accurate transients - even at super low frequencies - leave people scratching their heads at first in amazement. Exactly those features combined with incredible power and completely linear frequency response lead to better mixes and faster workflow as they take the guesswork out of mixing. MM27 truly breaks down the barriers between nearfield, mastering and main monitors. With 810W of power divided to three power amps, MM27 rocks the house and saves money by making big wall mounted main monitors unnecessary.
1" soft dome tweeter, dual 5" midbass drivers and dual 10" subs housed in compact sealed enclosures yield high linearity and outstanding impulse response. With 500 Watts of power in the subwoofer channel alone, the dual 10" drivers cross over seamlessly from the midbass, reaching down to 33Hz and rolling off at 1/4 the rate of ported designs to reveal much more deep bass information. Since the sub motor structures are locked together the opposing forces cancel out and the cabinet remains rock steady even at very high output levels. There is no need for bass management in 5.1 systems because the MicroMain27 is truly a full-range monitor. The speaker can be placed either vertically or horizontally using the included pedestal.

MicroSUB
The MicroSUB uses the renowned Barefoot dual opposing driver format to achieve uncompromising, extremely linear deep bass extension. Reaching down to 22 Hz, the sealed cabinet design rolls off at 1/4 the rate of ported subs, revealing deeper bass information with far better transient response. Furthermore, while ported subs lose damping and stability at subsonic frequencies, the MicroSUB's damping actually increases. This innovative 2-way mid-bass/sub system, having precise extension up to 2 kHz, offers a great deal of flexibility. As a dedicated LFE monitor, the MicroSUB can readily reveal unwanted high frequency content in channel 6.
In Satellite/Subwoofer arrangements, a pair of MicroSUBs can seamlessly transform even tiny monitors into a powerful full-range system. Compact cabinets and near-zero vibration allow great placement flexibility as well. Good for every placement, on the floor, on stands, on the meter bridge close to the monitors. The cabinet can be oriented either vertically or horizontally using the included pedestals (9" L x 1 3/8" W x 2 1/4" H). Topping off the uncompromising nature of the MicroSUB, a discreet 1 dB stepped attenuator level adjustment is incorporated.
Features
- 2-way active sealed-box subwoofer with extended bandwidth
- Subwoofer Input Controls with stepped attenuator level adjust (+6 dB to -16 dB), mid/sub amplifier mutes, +10 dB gain
- 120/80/60 Hz crossover frequency select, crossover IN/OUT
- Input Impedance 50k Ohm
- Bass Response -3 dB @ 22 Hz, Q = 0.707, Slope = 12 dB/octave
